This week's reading made me think a lot about the way I grew up. I remember growing up with various stigmas about different groups of people, and these readings reminded me of times when I would hear certain cues that would make me categorize people a certain way based on my previous experiences and biases (1st reading).
In the King Sumner paper, I thought about my experiences and though I didn't recall any situations where I noticed this happening, it was definitely interesting to think about whether or not this affected my interpretation.
It was also interesting to think about how the phonetic variation on semantic encoding played a pat in my personal experience.
